Default A bit of help? We need ideas...

A guildie and I want to farm Ssun to get her staff. As she's a monk boss, we're finding actually killing her without taking too many people very hard. It's a monk boss, with blessed light, sig of devotion, sig of rejuvanation, and some other self heals and hex removals and stuff. We can clear out the mob easy enough, with a prot spirit/spirit bond necro using spiteful and a smite monk maintaining retribution and holy wrath on him from a safe distance, but obv this won't kill the boss. We tried plague touching dazed onto the boss, but the attack rate even from both of us isn't high enough to interrupt blessed every time, it's unreliable to get dazed on in the first place. So, probably one more person at least is needed.

First, can anyone think of a way a n/mo and a mo/* stuck at 0 nrg can kill it?

Failing that, what should the third person be? We're thinking an a/r with broadhead arrow and then attack speed boosts to keep dazed on her, and interrupt everything but only one blessed light needs to get through to mess that up and even an assassin might not attack fast enough to catch every one. (broadhead arrow not templestrike because it lasts longer, btw). We also thought of an arcane echo echo 24/7 blackout mesmer but i'm not sure we could keep the arcane echo echo chain up long enough to kill the boss. I wondered if an ele could chain gale for long enough, but again only one gale has got to be misstimed to spoil things (gale too early and they don't KD 'cos still getting up from last one, gale too late and a spell gets cast). So has anyone got any ideas?

Backfire does a whole lot of damage to a monk. If you manage to spam that, and interrupt every hex removal, you'll make a strong case. There are also necro spells to halve the effect of healing spells.

Just use one mesmer. Arcane Echo + Diversion + Diversion = owned boss.

first of all, the tanker can have at least one spare skill if not two. a few nice ones have been listed above;

second, the necro can just go monk with advantages of energy management, CANCELLING holy wrath when the boss is left so he wont have constand 0 energy (duh-huh!), using blessed and then using something else thats mean enough to take the boss down.

spirit shackles for the tanker and some damage by the necro (or monk as i said above :/) would be doing it. maybe SS and scourge healing for the holy smiter..shrug. theres been enough ideas in the thread that should help easily. :P

To all the people who've suggested hexes - this boss has blessed light, plus another hex removal. Diversion could work, but scourge healing, spirit shackles etc would be removed very fast.

Use sympathetc visage / ancestors visage at the beginning and stand next to Ssyn. The melee mobs will make sure you drain his energy. Once the melee are almost dead start casting spirit shackles on Ssyn so you keep draining his energy, and attacking is all he can do.
